Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Title:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible meeting the company's staffing objectives by finding and attracting qualified candidates for openings as identified and prioritized by the Management Team. This position works collaboratively with the HR Director and Coordinator who will maintain updated job descriptions, develop and maintain screening criteria and hiring objectives, promote company's Employee Referral Program, coordinate external-recruiter relations, et al.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage the overall interviewing process - perform initial screening of candidates, scheduling on-site visits, soliciting post-interview feedback, maintaining communication with candidates throughout the interviewing process.
  • Provide weekly updates to management and hiring managers on progress in finding qualified candidates.
  • Develop KPI's for recruitment strategy while maintaining flexibility to management-determined priorities.
  • Build and maintain multi-source pool of applicants by proactively researching and utilizing industry job boards, social media, collect construction programs, job fairs, et al.
  • Utilize applicant tracking system and maintain database of all applicants past and present, including "flagging" for candidate follow-up.
  • Keep pulse on industry recruitment trends, including compensation and benefits.
  • Ensure excellent candidate experience by providing ongoing communication and pre-employment support.
  • Partner with the HR Director to lead the university recruitment and internship program activities.
  • Liaison between college, university, and community college placement offices.
  • Participate and coach team members presenting in info sessions, career fairs and in person interviews.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to promote employer brand and execute recruitment campaigns and advertisements.
  • Champion and manage employee referral program, keeping employees updated on outcomes and tracking monthly progress.
  • Manage relationship and communications of employment agencies and search firms, including negotiating and controlling employment-related fees.
  • Keep current with sourcing strategies and industry trends to regularly source potential talent.

What You'll Bring:

  • At least 3 years of solid recruitment success in construction (or closely related field), either independent (self-employed) or client- or agency-based.
  • Commitment to practices that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (BambooHR a plus), and LinkedIn Recruiter sourcing.
  • Knowledge of employment laws/ordinances relative to hiring (federal, state, and municipal).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing social media to support and highlight hiring needs (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or other related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience may be considered sufficient.
