An established public accounting firm is seeking a remote IT Audit Manager to manage the process for System and Organization Control audits. This includes engagement planning, fieldwork, wrap-up, and preparation of reports for multiple clients and engagements. The IT Audit Manager's role extends beyond project management to enhancing the practice's economics, elevating client service, and developing professional staff. This position can be based in San Francisco or remote.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the engagement and workflow of client deliverables for multiple clients and engagements to minimize risks, optimize engagement economics, satisfy service objectives, and meet internal and external deadlines
  • Conduct walkthroughs to gain an understanding of operational and IT processes, provide management with an assessment of risks, controls design, and overall effectiveness and efficiency of processes
  • Review workpapers and deliverables to ensure audit objectives are addressed, controls are adequately tested, and professional standards are met
  • Review drafts and final versions of audit reports for issuance
  • Proactively manage engagement budgets, time, and schedule considerations for other jobs
  • Work with the team and clients to plan a project strategy, define objectives, and address technology-related control risks
  • Identify and resolve audit and technical issues; provide timely updates regarding engagement progress

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in SOC 1 and/or SOC2 engagements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the areas of IT audit and IT technology consulting preferred
  • Experience in managing IT audit projects, supervising personnel, and developing audit work programs
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and/or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required
  • A Bachelor's degree with a major in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or equivalent is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to draft reports and executive summaries on IT control issues for senior leadership
