Nelson Connects is hiring a qualified Sales Administrator for a growing local manufacturing company! This position plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team and ensuring smooth and efficient sales operations. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. The Sales Administrator will work closely with the sales team, customers, and other internal departments to facilitate the sales process, maintain accurate records, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the sales team by managing various tasks, including data entry, order processing, and sales documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contact information, sales history, and relevant communication.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally, addressing their questions, concerns, and requests for information.
  • Coordinate with the production and logistics departments to ensure timely order fulfillment, shipment, and delivery to customers.
  • Prepare sales reports, sales forecasts, and other sales-related documentation as required by the sales team and management.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of sales presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure sufficient stock availability for timely order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to process customer invoices, track payments, and resolve any billing issues.
  • Support sales team members in managing customer accounts, including tracking sales targets, monitoring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating sales events, trade shows, and customer visits.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, pricing, and sales promotions to provide accurate and timely information to customers and the sales team.
  • Continuously improve sales administration processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in general accounting, accounts payable, or accounts receivable
  • Proven experience in sales administration, customer service, or a similar role
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Quickbooks experience a plus.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to handle changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, products, and industry trends is a plus.
