Senior Accountant

Well-established local winery is searching for a Senior Accountant to join their team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions for the winery. To be successful in this role, a candidate should be accurate, organized, and detail oriented. This is a hybrid work schedule with 2 days in office and 3 days remote.

Main Responsibilities:

Compile and analyze financial information and reports
Ensure accurate and timely month, quarter, and year-end close
Prepare and manage general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
Oversee accounts receivables and accounts payables
Assist with audits
Identify, set, and record amortization of prepaid assets
Review Standard Costing and close out of Year End Harvest
Review and improve on existing policies and procedures to increase efficiency

Ideal qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
CPG or wine experience preferred
CPA or MBA a plus
