Job Title: Senior Accountant

Location: San Rafael
Compensation: $85,000 to $100,000 annually

Job Summary:

A local non-profit client of ours is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team on a direct hire basis. This role is responsible for daily cash management, key parts of the monthly close accounting cycle and quarterly/annual reporting. This is a full-time Monday thru Friday role fully in office.

Job Title Responsibilities:

· Perform daily financial transactions, including initiating and recording deposits, transfers, and ACH activities

· Monitor cash projections and prepare drawdown documents

· Record investment activity, reconcile balance statements and record purchases, sales, dividends, and gains/losses

· Maintain workbooks for restricted contributions and pledges

· Prepare monthly reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts and record journal entries and reclassifications

· Assist with all fixed asset accounting and reporting

· Reconcile inventory cost of goods sold for online and gift shops

· Filing annual 403(b) census reporting and responsible for annual 403 (b) audit, including coordination with audit firm and preparation of all audit schedules

· Filing of annual property taxes and quarterly sales returns

· Maintain and reconcile petty cash fund

· Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports

· Assist with audit of annual financial statements and tax returns by preparing schedules and documents.

Job Title Requirements:

· Undergraduate degree in accounting, or related field preferred

· 3+ years of related accounting experience, including cash accounting and revenue preferred.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Excel, NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
