Senior Accountant
Petaluma
Well established accounting firm is looking for a Senior Accountant to assist in a broad range of transactions, reconciliations, and various other accounting activities. Functions include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee the processing of AP/AR transactions for designated client accounts.
- Assist in monthly and quarterly close including preparing journal entries and monthly accruals and reconciling accounts to the general ledger
- Responsible for providing clients with clear and co
- Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with GAAP
- Account reconciliation and month-end close
- Assist in the execution and filing of annual tax returns.
Ideal qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 3-5 years experience within a public accounting firm.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- CPA, CPA eligible, or in progress obtaining CPA license highly desirable.
