East Bay Area Financial Institution looking to hire a Senior Accountant who will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting. This position is very hands-on and plays a necessary part in all aspects of Accounting operations with opportunities to work on several projects. The Senior Accountant will be someone who will work on different areas of the month-end close and help implement systems that can scale and improve upon processes. You will work with and contribute to an experienced team, while prioritizing both personal and team goals while developing the accounting infrastructure
Job Title Responsibilities:
You will be an important participant in the financial close process, working on areas such as fixed assets, pre-paids, accruals
Build relationships with partners across the organization to ensure complete and accurate accounting
Train accountants on multiple accounting concepts and best practices
Lead field work for interim, annual external audits, and internal audits
Research technical accounting issues
Build upon the current accounting infrastructure and workpaper documentation
Help develop and implement new systems and internal controls that meet our business growth and culture
Job Title Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required
3+ years of corporate accounting experience, with increasing levels of responsibilities
Experience with GAAP accounting concepts.
Experience with Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas
CPA license or active CPA candidate optional
NetSuite or Oracle experience
Combination of Big 4 CPA firm background and industry experience
