Senior Cost Analyst/Accountant
Newark, CA



This position will be working closely with the Newark Plant Controller. You will be responsible for, but not limiting to the following duties / other duties may be assigned in addition to below:

  • Monthly closing duties involving various journal entries, accruals, posting and reviewing financial data for work order variance, NCR reserve and scrap, intransit inventory reconciliation, flux analysis and preparation of key performance indicators for the Newark site;
  • Maintain and set up standard cost for new products (NPI);
  • Participate in annual standard cost roll, including material master data review; setting up labor and overhead standard rates; perform standard cost impact analysis;
  • Analyze actual labor, material and overhead cost against standard cost;
  • Support monthly NCR reserve & volume absorption and quarterly E&O analysis;
  • Review and monitor work order transactions; perform work order variance analysis;
  • Provide support to ERP system implementation project;
  • Develop and provide ad-hoc reports as required by the management;
  • Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation;
  • Ensure all accounting policies and procedures and ensure compliance to US GAAP regulations


Education or Experience (in years):

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area is required
  • At least 7+ year of experience in Cost accounting/ Manufacturing Finance required, experience with in-house manufacturing preferred. Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including fluency with Excel Pivot Tables & function formulas.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
