Job Title: Sr. Collections Representative

Location: Irvine, CA

Compensation: $22 -$26/hr. DOE

Job Title: Early Collections Service Rep.

The Sr. Collections Representative is responsible for resolving delinquency on automobile loans, negotiating payment arrangements; skip tracing to locate customers or units, and reviewing accounts for repossession. This position is a manual queue-based calling environment with minimal to substantial auto-dialing. SA DSC Level 3's works in a structured team setting with shared goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Review open accounts for collection and skip trace efforts
  • Handle inbound/outbound collection calls in a professional manner
  • Maintains a good customer relation with borrowers, and effectively solves problems in an effort to resolve accounts delinquency and prevent losses.
  • Negotiates account resolution and accurately inputs and documents actions within the collection systems while maintaining company performance and productivity standards.
  • Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
  • Maintain and update customer demographic and employment information on a regular basis.
  • Strategize work queues according to company objectives
  • Skip trace to locate customer or unit
  • Identify opportunities for account recourse
  • Send all applicable statutory notices
  • Review accounts for repossession
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and review with a supervisor as needed.
  • Review and monitor any assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
  • Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements
  • Escalate Calls as required
  • Follow and maintain policies and procedures in all aspects of the position
  • Meet or exceed charge off and delinquency goals, monthly, quarterly and annually.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED/College degree preferred
  • 4+ years of collections and skip tracing experience
  • Must have previous auto collections experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
  • Proficient MS Office Suites, and Internet Explorer
  • Must be able to clear background and fingerprinting screening
