We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a stable distribution client based out of Stockton. This position is responsible for posting journal entries, participating in month-end procedures, and maintaining effective accounting controls. The ideal candidate with be tech savvy with at least 2 years of accounting experience. This role is based out of Stockton and offers remote flexibility after the initial training period.

Job Duties:

  • Generates financial statements and analyzes variances
  • Creates and posts journal entries to the general ledger
  • Maintains accounting controls and systems
  • Participates in month-end and year-end close procedures
  • Maintains and reports on fixed assets
  • Supports annual audits
  • Creates financial reports as needed

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in accounting or relevant field
  • A strong understanding of GAAP
  • Previous accounting experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Tech savvy with strong knowledge of ERP systems and Excel
