Staff Accountant
Sacramento

Established property management company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position will be responsible for producing accurate and timely monthly financial reports for a portfolio of properties. The ability to work within a team structure is essential. This is a fully in office position for the first 6 months, after which there will be remote flexibility.


Main Functions Include:

  • Accurate and timely production of monthly financial reports
  • Prepare general ledger journal entries and bank reconciliations, and analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
  • Support AP and AR staff
  • Review balance sheets and income statements to ensure accuracy
  • Work with management on budget
  • Work with auditors to answer any questions an ensure audit compliance with necessary support documents
  • Work in system to maintain all accounting files
  • Assist with other related special projects as needed


Ideal qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • At least one year of experience as an accountant
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Strong problem solving skills
