Staff Accountant

Our East Bay area based client has an immediate need for a Staff Accountant to come on board on a strong contract-to-hire basis. This role will be 100% onsite in the Oakland/Hayward area.

The Staff Accountant will be working closely with the Controller and be mainly focused on AP, AR, and Payroll as well as ad hoc projects as assigned. This role will be the sole person for AP, AR and Payroll and must have a strong skill set. The ideal Staff Accountant will have strong attention to detail and not make many mistakes.

In addition, the Staff Accountant should be hardworking, collaborative and easy going.

Responsibilities:

• Full cycle Accounts Payable - enter/code/process invoices, check runs, vendor communications, etc.
• Full cycle Accounts Receivable - billing, applying payments, collections, etc.
• Payroll - processing for 60 employees on a weekly basis
• Experience with an ERP or accounting software
