Staff Accountant
Santa Rosa

Santa Rosa based non-profit seeks 1-3-year Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This role will be trained on internal processes, working up to being responsible for analysis of accounting records, preparation of accounting schedules, reports and financial statements, preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and appliance with GAAP.


Job Responsibilities will eventually include but will not be limited to:

  • Reconciling general ledger, sub ledger, external ledger accounts
  • Supporting in the preparation of publish monthly financials
  • Reviewing and analyzing accounting data and reports for anomalies, investigate causes, & recommend journals
  • Processing invoices, preparing & posting journals to be uploaded into accounting system
  • Providing support for numerous audits, tax returns, and compliance
  • Approving invoices for payment


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 1-3 years relevant work experience or, Associates Degree with a concentration in Accounting with equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with ERP Accounting Software, high level proficiency with MS Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
  • Non profit accounting experience highly preferred
