We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for a boutique CPA firm located in Sacramento. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, solid communication skills and 2-4 years of accounting experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling bank accounts and other general ledger accounts (i.e. Prepaid Expenses, Deferred Revenue, Fixed Assets).
  • Performing income and expense allocations, reviewing the general ledger, and recording necessary adjusting journal entries.
  • Preparing financial statements and compilations on a monthly and annual basis.
  • Preparing complete set of electronic workpapers.
  • Communicating and developing good working relationships with clients.
  • Managing and organizing your own schedule considering client requests and due dates.
  • Assisting clients with implementing, training, and maintaining QuickBooks.
  • Preparation of 1099's, W-2's, sales and personal property tax returns.
  • Preparation of payroll checks and tax deposits for certain clients.

Requirements:

  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
  • 2-4 years experience in the accounting field.
  • Experience in public accounting a plus.
