Nelson is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist for their client in Concord, CA! (Possibility for remote work available)
This role is responsible for attracting, screening, placing and retaining top notch talent for the company
Essential Job Functions:
Develop and execute the company's recruiting strategy in coordination with senior leadership
Manage full cycle recruiting process and proactively asses company-wide department needs
Maintain clear and consistent communication with managers regarding job requirements and expectations
Provide regular updates and feedback to management team to ensure timeliness of recruitment process
Collaborate with Human Resources Team and Training department
Align job candidate profiles with staffing objectives
Maintain and grow effective relationships with social and professional networks throughout California, Arizona and Washington to source qualified candidates
Partner with College Career Centers, Students Organizations and Associations and Athletic Departments to increase brand awareness and hiring goals
Attend fairs and coordinate manager attendance
Build relationships with associations, technical trade schools, colleges, veterans associations and other various sources to attract talent
Create and design effective recruitment marketing materials
Follow all hiring policies and procedures
Pre-screen job candidates through interviews, reviewing resumes and phone screens to determine suitability of candidates
Develop a strong applicant pipeline through various methods including; job sites, social networking, career fairs and referrals
Manage all communication with candidates and hiring managers to maintain smooth hiring process
Track and report key metrics designed to measure and predict staffing activity (cost per hire)
All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned
1-3 years' experience either in the Alarm Industry or recruiting talent for non-exempt roles.
Proficient with online job board searches (i.e. CareerBuilder, monster, craigslist, etc.)
Proficient with recruiting on Social Networking Channels (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Professional phone speaking skills required
Excellent multitasking and organizational skills required
Excellent writing/proofreading skills required.
Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization
Must represent the company in a professional manner and create a positive first impression
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently
Strong Microsoft Office competency required, including Outlook, Word and Excel
PowerPoint & Access experience a plus
Efficiency using internet and job search engines required
Applicant tracking software experience a plus
Four-year college degree or equivalent preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
