We are currently recruiting for a Central Valley Tax Associate/Manager to join a growing CPA firm. This is an excellent opportunity with a clear path to upper management for the right candidate. Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage tax clients, supporting partners with their tax engagements
  • Oversee the tax department with minimal supervision, providing training and mentorship
  • Review federal and state returns for individuals and businesses
  • Provide advice on tax laws and tax planning to individuals and businesses
  • Work on business development to build and maintain client relationships
  • Develop an understanding of the client's business and provide recommendations to help them meet their goals
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of all industry standards and current laws and regulations
  • Maintain strong client relationships and communications
  • Anticipate and address client concerns while managing and monitoring client due dates to ensure that all deadlines are met
  • Manage and track clients budgets
  • Research advanced tax matters

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • 4+ years of progressive tax experience with supervisory experience
  • Proactive thinker and problem solver
  • CPA required
  • Master's in Taxation is a bonus
