Position Summary:

The Virtual Events Specialist coordinates and moderates all virtual and hybrid events. CASBO runs 3 - 5 webinars/workshops/roundtables weekly growing to educate over 5,000 attendees. The Virtual Events Specialist will understand the virtual conference industry, including programming for online learning, user web behaviors, digital production, and the importance of data analysis. ·Act as product manager for assigned virtual/hybrid events and webinars.

·Review and test CASBO digital platforms for accuracy, functionality and quality.

·Create relationships with association members, presenters and subject matter experts to execute CASBO Virtual events.

·Work with staff to coordinate CASBO professional development opportunities.

·Create Frequently Asked Question documentation for various programs and platforms.

·Conducts training for presenters, moderators, subject matter experts and staff.

·Monitors, manages and is the first point of contact for assigned virtual events during production hours.

·Analyze post event survey and platform data to create reports for staff and volunteers.

·Partners with professional development team and CASBO communications team to facilitate all related meetings logistics and communications. (Web, Email, Social Media, etc)

Education: Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Directly applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·Minimally 1 year of previous association experience is preferred

·Background in meetings and events.

·Digital Events Specialist (DES) certificate, desired, not required

·History with in-person, hybrid and virtual meetings are a plus.

·Ability to manage assigned projects with numerous departments, volunteers and vendors involved.

·Extensive knowledge of Zoom webinar and meetings.

·Presentation skills with ability to take concepts and/or ideas and easily translate into written or spoken instructions.

·Ability to conduct training sessions for presenters and staff.

·Creative problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

·Knowledge of the best practices for online presentations.

·An understanding of learning management systems and/or digital education repositories is a plus.

·Excellent oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, and organizational skills.

·Interest in online education is highly desirable.

·Desire to learn new technologies is preferred.

Travel: Position may require up to 10% business travel annually to attend meetings and events as directed by supervisor.
