Incredible Warehouse Manager opportunity awaits with industry leading tire/automotive East Bay client! Due to a Corporate move to the East Bay market, we're looking to partner with a Warehouse professional who leads by example and prides him or herself on process improvements and meeting daily metric goals!

While reporting to the VP of Operations, most of the day to day duties are but not limited to:

  • Ensures productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor warehouse staff comprised of both Exempt and Hourly staff (Shipping, Receiving and Inventory), ensuring effective team collaboration on a daily basis.
  • Regularly implement lean methodologies to optimize warehouse functions.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counting and reconciling with the data storage system to manage stock control.
  • Review and adapt warehouse operations based on new logistics technology or when necessary.
  • Daily monitor shipments and inventories' accuracy to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and without delay.
  • Regularly organize and maintain inventory and storage areas for easy and efficient retrieval.
  • Top 3 duties - Shipping & Receiving, Inventory Control and Cycle counting (must be willing to pivot and support demands on an as needed basis).

To succeed in this role, we're looking for the following requirements, qualifications and experiences:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field. (Experience may be considered instead of formal education in some cases)
  • 3-5+ years of proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager or similar position.
  • Expertise in warehouse procedures and best practices.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory management and controls.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to operate and train staff on using forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
  • Pacejet and NetSuite proficiency.
  • Some experience with international shipping is a plus; Bill of Lading.

Assignment: Contract to hire OR Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6am to 2:30pm/3pm (OT potential) - AM schedule, hours will fluctuate based on day to day demands (E.g. be available for phone calls after 3pm up to 5pm, when afternoon deliveries arrive).

Compensation: $40.86-$45.67 per hour / $85k-$95k/yr. (commensurable upon experience)
